The Role:
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be leaning towards generating new business however you will be required to manage your own accounts along with overseeing existing key accounts. In this technical sales engineer role, you will be generating new business and developing relationships primarily through cold calling and client facing meetings, you will be targeting aerospace companies all over the UK and occasionally be generating new business globally. You will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth in the UK and You will be able to confidently communicate with C-suite decision makers as well as senior technical engineers. You will be selling an innovative and extensive portfolio of coating solutions such as surface treatment, aluminium alloys and vacuum coating to the aerospace industry. You will be able to come across as a sharp individual, who understands the product inside out and can communicate how this will be of a benefit to the client effectively. You will be able to offer a consultative approach to selling as the products you will be delivering will be both standard and bespoke and to the requirements of the client.

The Candidate:
The ideal technical sales engineer will have a track record of success and 3 years’ experience in selling coating solutions to the aerospace industry. You will be comfortable communicating with C- suite decision makers and be able to hold your own in a technical conversation. You will be confident, tenacious and be able to think outside the box. You will also ideally be able to bring with you current clients in the aerospace industry. Being a team player is key as you will be required to maintain both internal and external relationships in order to be successful in this sales role as a technical sales engineer.


The Package:
As a technical sales engineer, you will receive a competitive basic salary of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience with the ability to earn a bonus on top. In addition to this generous basic salary you will receive a company car. You will be a part of a dynamic and well-established aerospace coating company with a strong presence globally that has been trading for over 40 years and has offices in the EU, US and China. You will have a lot of scope for progression as the company grows and will have the opportunity to reach more senior levels of the company.
